Darjit                                                   

DARJIT was developed and was created by Alchymia ltd, a New Zealand based company, family owned, and run from the Far North district of the North Island.
3 generations of the same family are involved with producing Darjit!

Brent has been designing and creating sculptured artworks for over 15 years and turned his hand to developing a recycled architectural sculpting compound 8 years ago. He now works at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland California.

 
Since first working with a clay mine in the Far North of New Zealand in 1998, to try and use the mines byproduct. Brent has worked to refine Darjit into an art work medium and a very versatile building material.

Jennifer McGee aka Darjitqueen is a Darjit Manufacturer and Artist in California. She has designed and sculpted with Darjit for about 5 years. She is turning her home into a Darjit showcase house.  "Darjit is by far my favorite medium to work with. It is an amazing and versatile product that I believe in, and what’s better than working with Brent!”

 Kobi, an experienced sculptor in the film/tv industry, recently discovered darjit and now can't imagine life without it.
She holds regular 'darjit days' teaching sculpture in her Auckland workshop and is available for commissions/installations.
"Theres so much you can use darjit for, and it's so fast, efficient, permanent, simple and  satisfying to use and made out of recycled waste products, I love it!!".
